Personally I wouldn't want to get to know anyone on this drama infested website with so much as there are a bunch of attention seeking whores, phsychos, or them desperate twatboxes who are only looking for a good time. Sorry I don't play the role of them 30 day gaurantee items that are used and returned back to the store the next day.
However I wouldn't mind getting to others as friends and ONLY friends.

If I think someone looks worth knowing I do an adult thing that many here could learn from. I try and engage the user in conversation. If they look interesting publically I message them privately, and have made some incredibly goodfriends here. Why not try it people?

I don't have a good answer at the moment, but I can say I already know Lelia from previous online discussion places and I know Mintjulepprincess in person. There do seem to be some interesting characters here, I'll need to think on it.

I think this is tamer. heheheh But as for the zoner I wanna get to know, I think it would have to be Quinten. He just seems like a really nice guy and never seems to start crazy crap on here. lol I really admire his talent and don't ever see him online enough to talk much but from our few conversations, he seems pretty cool. Besides, I think I could learn a lot from him musically as well as what life is like in Africa. hehe I love learning about different cultural things. Nikos is another zoner I would like to know better. His love for his sybblings is so sweet. I don't know much about birds in general but am always willing to learn.

I'm going to try to ignore all the drama around this topic--maybe it's been done before--but I haven't seen it.
Anyway, if I want to know someone here, I wait until they are online and send them a private message. If they don't want to talk that's okay. But, I get to know the ones I want to know. It's easy as that.
If I can't catch them online, I go to their profile and send them a private message there.

if I want to get to know someone I just write them a pqn, or a message or see them on vt and just talk to them. It doesn't hurt to try and start a conversation
I understand the meaning of this board and don't down rate it at all, but I have to agree with Blackbird, Bob, and Matt here. Want to know someone just talk to them publicly, or privately. It seems to work. If your shy say so when you contact them.

I forgot in my earlier post, one thing I occasionally do is check upcoming birthdays, and if I recognize the name, I send them a pm saying happy birthday. Doesn't hurt, and might help brighten someone's day.

I think that making friends is the most important part of life. If it isn't friendship, the world will suffer. Think possitive. Oh, and friends don't come easy, therefore hold on to them.
I want to get anyone who wants to get to know me...looking for friendship and maybe harmless flirting fun...if you're female, that is. Mostly just looking to make friends, though.

ok, let's answer this topic as it was posted. i'd like to get to know shark, he seems interesting and yeah, would like to have a beer with the guy one day. puggle, q, curious liam, 4real, gosh, there's too many to name. i've met some people on the site in person before like moyzey, louise, internet_king, mr_thunderbolt and a few others like that.
Some of the people I talk to or write to on here are in America, so even though I'd like to, it would be quite hard to get to know them better except for on voice chat or on zone bbs by phone when it's working. I have met a few people personally, though - Dj Yuzi, King Lion Heart and I knew Khafsa.g before she came on here. Khafsa doesn't log in very much, but I know her from my old college.
